Pack: El Tarot de Oro La baraja Visconti-Sforza (Collection) "Last Unit"
It consists of a pack of 78 letters plus book with instructions in Spanish plus tarot cloth.
The Golden Tarot or Tarot Visconti-Sforza stands out as the most complete of the ancient tarot decks that are preserved.
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of their marriage, in 1451, Francesco Sforza commissioned the well-known artist Bonifacio Bembo to create a deck of cards in his honor. Originally used as a card game, over the next three centuries, these cards became a divination tool, which is how they are most commonly used today.
Each card in the exquisitely painted Visconti-Sforza deck is a tiny masterpiece. The scenes are richly enhanced with gold leaf, and made with pigments made with powdered lapis lazuli, malachite and other precious minerals.
In this edition of The Golden Tarot, its author, Mary Packard, performs an excellent task of reintroducing the Visconti-Sforza Tarot for the current public. It offers clues about its history and its symbolism, while appreciating its beauty and its usefulness in divination.
Once again, we see that tarot is the expression of an eternal philosophy, an inheritance that we can not allow to be lost.
