Playing cards Carnival "Collection"
It consists of 54 letters in multilanguage language.
Carnival playing cards were created in 2006. They are Poker type cards.
The letters are designed by Severino Baraldi. The work is based on the Carnival of Venice, it is an annual festival held in Venice (Italy).
It is said that the Carnival of Venice began from a victory of the Republic of Venice more serene ("Repubblica della Serenissima") against Ulrich the Patriarch of Aquileia in 1162. Aquileia is an ancient Roman city in Italy. Ulrich tried to extend his authority over Venice.
People started dancing and making meetings in San Marco Square in honor of the victory. The festival began in that period and became official in the Renaissance.
Deck of 52 cards and 3 Jokers, in each letter there is an excellent illustration related to the world of the Venetian Carnival, the drawings are by Severino Baraldi. Explanatory letters are accompanied in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
